Boat safety

It was around midnight and i was in bed,wen i listen a sound,something like water coming inside the boat,i try to ignore but the sound did not stop.i got up the bed
and turn the lights on,and... in the midle of the salon i had water all over the place,i give the alarm that water was coming inside the boat and got my wife out of the bed and out of the boat,i turn the electric pump on and i decided to stay inside to try to find were the hell was the water coming in.And for my suprise a house from the water tank decided to let all the water como out.
All my body was shaking all night long.
From now on water pump stays on all the time and i´m going to put a alarm something that sailers talk about that lots of boats sink because the skiper is out side and did not know that water was coming until it was to late.
Now i know i got no hart problems.

Sailing in Harmony

My first experience with sailing boat was with my grandfather in a wooden boat actually all my experience is in a wood boat,fiberglass sailing boat is all new for me.
I´m trying to find a picture of it but so far nothing.
I´m 41years old and i stell remeber the felling of sailing for the first time in harmony wen i was 8 years old.

second boat

This was his second boat about 29ft long after he sold the other one wen he was 67years old and decided to bild a smaller one.
By the way,wen the bad weter use come sometimes he used to go to the open ocean and stay there until the storm go away to save the boat because at that time it was no marina in Sines.
After he sold is boat,the new owner did not had the courege to face the first winter storm,so the boat was destroyed.

Sines Pescador Vitorino Gué Gué

My grandfather was fisherman,wen i was young i tought he was a fisherman like any other one,until one day a man ask me who was my family last name and he did not know.
Then i told my grandfathers name and his nick name (Gué Gué).I never forget his face
with is eyes wide open said "he is a very respected man because of the knolege of navigate under havy weter and fog and was in the Navy,everyone whants to go fishing with him because he always catch fish even in winter wen no one goes fishing because of the wether."
After that my mouth was wide open,i never knew,so i ask him one day to tell me all his stories and they are enouth to make a few movies(i mean good movies).
So i´m posting a Picture of his boat in his first day with it.
He is at the helm.

Sines

Sail boats coming and going.

Sines Bay

A nice place to visit and very nice bay to stay.
It´s the last stop before you sail to Algarve so let´s get food and fuel before go on.
